Fragmented Stillness

Project Type

Acrylic on Canvas, Matte Varnish

Year

2025

Location

Shenandoah National Park, Front Royal, VA

This series captures the quiet beauty of the Shenandoah Valley.

While each piece stands on its own, the series is designed to be viewed together, hung at varying heights to form a panoramic narrative.

Each piece isolates a moment in the landscape — reflecting how nature is often experienced in fragments rather than in whole.

Hung at varying heights, the series invites the viewer to stitch together the valley’s rhythm and stillness in their own way.

Bold color, graphic linework, and layered composition offer a modern interpretation of a timeless terrain.

This series bridges realism and abstraction to explore how we process the natural world—how stillness is felt, interrupted, remembered, and reassembled.
It is both a love letter to the Shenandoah Valley and a reflection on the fractured ways we hold beauty in our minds.
