My name is Kara Davis and I am a multidisciplinary artist and founder of Heritage Art & Design, based in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley.

 

My work begins with place, movement, and quiet observation. I’m inspired by landscapes I return to often—walking paths, fields, ridgelines—and the way familiarity reveals new details over time.

 

I work in series, allowing each piece to inform the next, documenting both the planning and the intuitive moments in between. Sharing my process is part of the work itself—an invitation into how ideas evolve before they reach the canvas.

 

My paintings are created to be lived with. I believe art finds its owner naturally, when someone recognizes a feeling or memory reflected back to them. My role is to create honestly, offer the work clearly, and trust the right connection to happen.
